Heavenly stairways.

I'm so curious as to where this is, it looks all English cottage garden

but from the Architecture on the building I'm thinking it could be in India?

Whimsical and romantic... Perfection!

This is just an absolutely beautiful space. X

Very Glamourous and in an Ideal world this would be my home. sigh...

The Spiral stairs are a bit of an obsession as my clever Husband will be making some for our planned renovations, to run from the Library down to the open plan games/rumpus area.

This is just some extra Laundry inspiration for me as we will be renovating soon.

I love how this area looks like it could be inside or outside or infact a combination of both.

This reminds me a little of the entry to the appartment
where Gregory Pecks character lived in the movie Roman Holiday

The use of colour in this stairway is just georgous.

When I started compiling this entry I got so terribly side-tracked I forgot what I was doing!
The reason StairPorn.org.
If you get any inpiration from this post at all I can assure you you will love stairporn.org.
Please take a look, it will certainly open you eyes to something we use and take for granted everyday,
The humble Stairway.

Where do your books live?

I Love this Library, how they've set up the table with it's little stacks of books and the beautiful vase of flowers which compliment the colour of the table coverings.
It's given a potentialy masculine room a subtly femenine touch.
Perfection!

I'm pretty sure most of us have seen this image a dozen times over, but I would love to have something like this in my home one day.
My cielings are almost high enough for it, Lucky hey!

There is something so special about book shelves around a door way,
I love the idea of reaching up to grab your favourite book on the way out into the garden to sit in the afternoon sun for a good read.
Ahh Bliss.

This image gave me some inspiration for my own bookcase.
I Love the use of stacks of books and special objects in between photo's and novels.

This to me would be the absolute best use of a long hallway.
I love the little window seats for a quick reading stop.

This is quite a beautiful way to recycle I believe this was a door and it has been turned into a bookcase, really lovely.

Oh to dream! I think this is quite magical and would love to have a loft or studio big enough to recreate something like this.
I'm thinking or doing something similar for my laundry when we renovate. Ah the posibilities.

The colour used in this bookcase is as much a feature as the books and collectables on it's shelves.
Just stunning!

The Unnamed Post on Beautiful Bedrooms

Over the last year or so I have been following some of the most beautiful and inspiring Blogs from around the world.

Some of my favorites include Absolutely Beautiful Things, Cote de Texas,
This Is Glamorous, Alkemie, Style Me Pretty and the list could go on and on.
Along the way I have collected a rather beautiful selection of pictures from these and other Blogs that touch me and inspired me.
Unfortunately at the time I hadn't planned on creating my own Blog or on wanting to use them for anything other than my screen saver slide on my home computer.
So as of today I will be posting what I have dubbed the Unnamed Post, a selection of these pictures I love but unfortunately don't have or don't remember the site I collected them from.
I hate the thought of upsetting anyone by not giving credit where it is due so if at anytime you can recall where one of these pictures originated please leave me a comment so I can label the picture in question.
Thanks for your understanding.

Our Big Day

I loved making all our invitations with the help of my Mother and my Sister Emma.

There's so many different types of paper around these days that personalising your wedding stationary is a cinch.

The day was perfect, beautiful weather and absolutely nothing went wrong.... sigh...wonderful.

My Dad was amazing, he did cry through the whole ceremony but that's just what he's like, bless.

Did I mention how wonderful the weather was so warm for August.

Everyone looked so great too I love an excuse to get dressed up and what better reason than a wedding!

All my girls came over two days before the wedding to help me with the flowers which I bought from the Rocklea flower Market.

It ended up costing a fraction of what a Professional would have and it was a lovely thing to involve my girlfriends in the wedding preparations.

The Wedding favours were mostly made by my Mother and I helped a little. Can you Guess what they are?

They're little sewing kits and for the boys I bought a heap of little steel puzzles, they kept people busy at the reception, what fun!
